Phillies Defeat Marlins

The Philadelphia Phillies stopped the Miami Marlins 5-2 on Friday at Citizens Bank Park. It was the first game of a doubleheader for both teams. It was also the first time both clubs played since the MLB All-Star Game break.
Philadelphia(45-44) rocketed out to a 3-0 lead during the bottom of the first. Travis Jankowski picked up a three-run double down the right-field line to score Bryce Harper, Rhys Hoskins and Didi Gregorius.
Miami(39-51) bounced back in the second inning with two runs. Jon Berti doubled to right field which brought in Jazz Chisholm Jr. Two batters later, Miguel Rojas hit a double into right and Berti scored.
In the third inning, the Phillies extended their lead. Jankowski singled to left field and Hoskins crossed the plate. Jankowski set a career-high with his fourth RBI in a game. Ronald Torreyes then knocked in Gregorius with a base hit up the middle.
