Guillen Suspended By Marlins
Ozzie Guillen, manager of the Miami Marlins, was suspended by the team for five games following controversial comments about Fidel Castro in a Time Magazine article that appeared last week. Guillen flew back to Miami after the first game of a three-game series in Philadelphia and attended a press conference to publicly apologize for his comments to Cuban-Americans in South Florida. Guillen will miss the final two games the team will play in Philadelphia against the Phillies and three games at home against the Houston Astros. Marlins bench coach Joey Cora will fill as manager while Guillen is suspended. He will return to manage the team on April 17 against the Chicago Cubs.
