Steve Goldstein To Olympics Again

     Steve Goldstein will announce hockey play-by-play for Westwood One of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia next month. He will be joined by former Panthers defenseman Bret Hedican as a game analyst.
     Goldstein is the television play-by-play announcer for the Florida Panthers on Fox Sports Florida. He has been a part of the Florida Panthers broadcasts on television or radio since October 1996. Goldstein worked as the hockey radio play-by-play announcer for Westwood One four years ago in Vancouver at the 2010 Winter Olympics with former Panthers goalie John Vanbiesbrouck as his game analyst. He was also a radio producer for the 1994 Winter Olympics at Westwood One.
     Hedican is currently a San Jose Sharks studio analyst for Comcast Sports California. He played for the Florida Panthers from January 1999 until January 2002 and had 65 points in 202 games with the club. Hedican played in the Stanley Cup finals in 2002 and won a Stanley Cup championship in 2006 with the Carolina Hurricanes. He was on the United States hockey team at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France where he meet his future wife gold-medal figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi.
