Alpha Media will take over on Wednesday to operate 640 Sports WMEN-AM under a local marketing agreement along with 850 WFTL-AM. A group headed by Mark Jorgenson still owns both stations. Alpha Media acquired all radio stations owned by Digity Media nationally in August. They had to wait for the approval from the Federal Communications Commission and the United States Department of Justice.
640 Sports currently has only one live local program on the radio station as Joe Raineri and Steve Zemach have hosted the morning show since early January. The station pipes in Fox Sports Radio from Los Angeles for the remainder of the day. They also have the Florida Panthers radio broadcast rights in Palm Beach County and Nova Southeastern University buys time to broadcast their men's basketball games.
