Former Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM producer Ron Flatter is now at CBS Sports Radio Network as a sports anchor. He is also announcing sports updates on WFAN-AM and WINS-AM in New York City. He has been the American sports reporter at RSN in Australia for many years.
Flatter was the afternoon producer for the Hank Goldberg Show on WQAM during the mid-1990s. He was occasionally heard on-air responding to Goldberg on any sports topic.
He received a great opportunity during the Florida Panthers playoff run in the 1995-96 season. Jon "Boog" Sciambi was the intermission and studio host for radio broadcasts that season. He had to leave his position a couple of rounds into the playoffs to announce minor league baseball in the Northwest League. Flatter was given the spot and worked with play-by-play announcer Chris Moore and game analyst Alain Chevrier in the 1996 Stanley Cup Finals against the Colorado Avalanche.
Following his stint at WQAM, Flatter moved on to ESPN Radio as a producer and reporter. He later added duties as a horse racing reporter for ESPN. He recently was an overnight news anchor at Fox News Radio from 2013 to 2015.
