Three members of the Florida Panthers played in the 2016 NHL All-Star Game for the Atlantic Division on Sunday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The new format for the contest involved two rounds of 3-on-3 hockey between four divisional squads.
The Atlantic Division defeated the Metropolitan Division in the first round by the score of 4-3. Jaromir Jagr had one goal in the first period and Aaron Ekblad compiled a goal in the second.
Following that the Atlantic Division lost to the Pacific Division in the championship round 1-0. Roberto Luongo did start in net for both games for Atlantic Division head coach Gerald Gallant.
