Former local sportscaster Dave Schultz will have a television simulcast of his morning show on 103.7 The Game KLWB-AM at KXKW-TV in Lafayette, Louisiana as of September 26. He has been the program director and morning host at that station since September 2013.
Schultz, a SUNY-Oswego grad, was employed at Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM from 2009 to 2011. He was the Florida Marlins and Florida Panthers sports reporter along with being a sports anchor and fill-in host.
He worked at several positions outside of broadcasting while in South Florida. Schultz was the media liason for PGA Tour events at Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami from 2006 until 2011. He also was membership manager at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo from 2011 to 2013.
Schultz had a long reign as a minor league baseball radio play-by-play announcer from 1992 until 2005. Numerous teams he called games for included the Syracuse Chiefs, Harrisburg Senators, Somerset Patriots, Jacksonville Suns and Peoria Chiefs.
