The Miami Marlins shut out the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-0 on Sunday at Marlins Park. The Fish took two of three games of the weekend series from the current National League West Division leader.
Miami(71-72) scored all their runs against Los Angeles(80-62) starting pitcher Kenta Maeda. In the fourth inning, Christian Yelich singled into left-center field to bring in Ichiro Suzuki to make it 1-0 lead. Justin Bour followed with a sacrifice fly to right which brought in Martin Prado.
The Marlins increased their margin to 3-0 during the sixth inning. Yelich got a base hit to right and a combination of two errors by the Dodgers caused Prado to score on the play.
