The Miami Heat lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 106-102 on Thursday night at Wells Fargo Center. It was the first contest for the Heat since the NBA All-Star Game. Miami completed a six-game road trip and return home on Saturday.
Philadelphia(38-21) started out well and led 29-21 after the first quarter. They stayed ahead and were up 57-50 at halftime. Miami(26-31) came back and moved ahead 75-73 after three quarters. The Sixers overcame and took the contest late in the fourth quarter.
Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 19 points along with six assists. Dion Waiters drained in 18 points while Kelly Olynyk added 15 points. 76ers newcomer Tobias Harris compiled a double-double with a game-high 23 points and 11 rebounds. Ben Simmons knocked down 21 points and Jimmy Butler scored 18 points
