There is a new leader in the local region. Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM finished ahead of 560 The Joe WQAM-AM for the first time since July 2019 when Dan Le Batard with Stugotz was still on their longtime home.
The Ticket moved from a 0.3 to a 0.5 in the period. The Miami Heat climbed out from near the bottom of the Eastern Conference to a playoff position with a six-game winning streak. The midday program with Jonathan Zaslow and Amber Wilson saw an increase in audience.
WQAM fell from a 0.5 to a 0.4 in the month. The Florida Panthers stayed near the top of the Central Division standings. The midday slot with two nationally syndicated ESPN Radio shows has not succeeded in listenership.
Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM stayed at a 0.1 for the second straight period. NASCAR auto racing returned on Sundays and University of Florida basketball filled their schedule.
