The Indiana Pacers routed the Miami Heat 137-110 at American Airlines Arena on Friday night. Both clubs will meet again on Sunday in the same venue. Trevor Ariza played in his first game with the Heat and had two assists in six minutes.
Indiana(18-22) took a 32-30 after one quarter and remained in front 68-58 by halftime. Miami(22-20) could not keep up and trailed 99-82 at the end of three quarters.
Bam Adebayo compiled 20 points and eight rebounds for the Heat. Jimmy Butler chalked up 17 points along with eight rebounds. Goran Dragic poured in 16 points while Tyler Herro scored 15 points.
The Pacers had seven players with double-digit scoring. Malcolm Brogdon led the team with 27 points and Justin Holiday dropped in 17 points. Domantas Sabonis put together a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds.
