Miami lost three straight games for the first time since mid-February. Miami dropped to 0-4 in overtime while the Pacers moved to 4-1 in overtime.
Indiana(19-22) had a 32-28 advantage after one quarter and were up 57-49 by the midway point. Miami(22-21) still were down 79-70 at the end of three quarters. The Heat trailed 96-90 with 3:04 left in the fourth, however they went on a 8-2 spurt to put the game into overtime.
Miami scored the first five points of the extra session for their largest lead of the contest. The Pacers answered back with nine straight points on their way to an 11-3 run.
The Heat were led by Bam Adedayo with 29 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Jimmy Butler also compiled a double-double of 21 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists. Duncan Robinson placed in 13 points and Tyler Herro dropped in 11 points.
Domantus Sabonis nailed a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds for Indiana. Myles Turner added 16 points while Doug McDermott came off the bench and had 15 points.
