Austin FC Routs Inter Miami CF

     Austin FC pounded Inter Miami CF 5-1 at Q2 Stadium on Sunday. It was the first time ever both teams faced each other in a Major League Soccer game. 

     The second-year MLS franchise, Austin FC, leads the league with 10 goals scored in 2022. Austin FC(2-0-0) found the net five times in their season opener. It is the most goals scored through the first two contests of a season in Major League Soccer history.

     Inter Miami CF(0-1-1) surrendered the first three goals of the game. They closed it to 3-1 during the 53rd minute. Leanardo Campana, who entered the contest as a substitute, blasted a left-footed shot from 16 yards out for his first tally in his Major League Soccer career.
