DeShields has bounced around the majors recently. After he spent five seasons with the Texas Rangers from 2015 to 2019, he was with Cleveland in 2020 and the Cincinnati Reds in 2021. DeShields compiled one home run, six runs batted in and a .255 batting average in 25 games.
