Braves Destroy Marlins

The defending National League East Division champion Atlanta Braves visited the Miami Marlins on Friday night at loanDepot park and dominated them 8-1. It was the start of a Marlins six-game homestand.
Atlanta(8-4) jumped out to a 1-0 lead during the top of the first. Austin Riley doubled down the left-field line for Ozzie Albies to score.
It became 2-0 for the Bravos in the fifth inning. Albies knocked in Orlando Arcia with a base hit into right-center field.
The Braves composed five more runs during the top of the seventh for a 7-0 lead. Matt Olson walked with the bases loaded and Arcia scored. Former Marlin Marcell Ozuna came up next and drove in Ronald Acuna Jr. along with Albies on a single into left field. Michael Harris II then picked up an infield hit to first and Olson crossed the plate. Arcia followed with an infield hit to short which brought in Ozuna.
Miami(2-12) got their only run in the bottom of the seventh. Emmanuel Rivera singled up the middle and Jazz Chisholm Jr. reached home.
In the ninth inning, Atlanta expanded it to a seven-run margin with another run. Ozuna crushed a solo home run to center field on a 2-1 pitch for his sixth homer of the year.
