Marlins Overcome Rockies

The Miami Marlins erased a five-run deficit in the ninth and took the Colorado Rockies 7-6 in 10 innings at loanDepot park on Tuesday night in the first contest of a three-game series. The Marlins snapped a seven-game losing streak. Both teams have the two worst records in the National League.
Rockies outfielder Jordan Beck made his Major League Baseball debut. The Rockies became the first team in MLB history to trail sometime during their first 29 games of a season.
Colorado(7-22) exploded out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first. Ryan McMahon knocked in Ezequiel Tovar with a base hit to left field. Two batters later, Charlie Blackmon singled into right field and McMahon scored. Elehuris Montero later smashed a three-run homer to center field to score Blackmon and Brendan Rogers.
Miami(7-24) broke the shutout in the bottom of the ninth. Luis Arraez doubled to deep right which brought in Vidal Brujan. Two batters later, Dane Myers singled up the middle which scored Christian Bethancourt and Arraez to make it 5-3.
Jesus Sanchez was later hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Bryan De La Cruz scored. Emmanuel Rivera followed and drove in Myers on a sacrifice fly to right field to tie it up 5-5.
The Rockies reclaimed the lead 6-5 in the top of the 10th. McMahon doubled into left field and Sean Bouchard touched home.
The Marlins won the game in the bottom of the 10th. De La Cruz doubled off the left-field wall and Tim Anderson sprinted home. Myers came up next with a base hit through the right side and De La Cruz scored for a 7-6 victory.
