Strikers Tie Railhawks

The Fort Lauderdale Strikers began the 2015 NASL fall season with a 1-1 tie to the Carolina Railhawks on Wednesday night at WakeMed Soccer Park. This contest may be more remembered for the almost two-hour delay due to inclement weather during in the second half.
Fort Lauderdale(0-0-1) surrendered the opening goal in the 53rd minute when midfielder Neil Hlavaty scored for Carolina(1-0-1). A large band of rain and wind stopped the game in the 75th minute. The game restarted and the Strikers tied it at 1-1 during the 77th minute with a goal by forward Stefano Pinho. It was his fifth goal in the last four games.
