American Heritage Wallops Los Alamitos

The American Heritage Patriots ripped by the Los Alamitos Griffins 56-27 on Saturday at Brian Piccolo Stadium on the campus of St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale. It was a rare home game for the Patriots outside of Plantation because of the South Florida Showcase.
American Heritage(2-0) moved in front 7-0 at the 6:38 mark of the first quarter. Running back Mark Fletcher powered around through the left side to score. They expanded their lead to 14-0 with 4:52 remaining in the first. Fletcher plunged up the middle from one yard away.
Los Alamitos(0-2) bounced back with 1:59 to go in the quarter. Wide receiver Makai Lemon caught a seven-yard touchdown catch in the middle of the end zone from quarterback Malachi Nelson.
The Pats responded just one minute later for a 21-7 lead. Quarterback Blake Murphy fired a 25-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Brandon Inniss on the back right side of the end zone.
It became 28-7 for American Heritage with 2:31 left in the second quarter. Running back Byron Louis rushed up the middle from one yard out.
