Miami Dolphins Release Sony Michel

The Miami Dolphins have let go running back Sony Michel. He signed a one-year deal worth $2.1 million contract with the club back in May.
Michel played high school football with the American Heritage Patriots. He helped them win their first football state title in school history with the FHSAA Class 5A state championship in 2013.
He played four years with the University of Georgia Bulldogs. He reached the CFP National Championship Game in 2017 and fell in overtime to the University of Alabama Crimson Tide.
Michel was drafted 31st overall by New England Patriots in 2018 NFL Draft and won Super Bowl LIII against the Los Angeles Rams. After three seasons with the Patriots, he was traded to the Rams in August 2021 and captured another championship in Super Bowl LVI.
