A's Swing By Marlins

The Oakland A's breezed by the Miami Marlins 3-2 in 10 innings at RingCentral Stadium on Wednesday. Marlins starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo made his return to the Bay Area and faced his former team. He pitched seven innings and gave up two runs on three hits.
The Marlins could not pull off a three-game series sweep of the A's and finished the six-game California road trip with a 2-4 record. Miami returns home on Friday and hosts the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night.
Oakland(46-79) broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the sixth. Chad Pinder singled through the right side for Nick Allen and Shea Langeliers to score.
Miami(54-70) closed it to 2-1 in the top of the eighth. Miguel Rojas sliced a base hit into shallow right field and Peyton Burdick crossed the plate. Burdick picked up his first stolen base in the majors earlier in the frame.
The Marlins evened it up 2-2 in the ninth inning. Nick Fortes bashed a solo home run to left field on a 0-1 pitch for his seventh homer of the season.
The A's survived the contest with a walk-off win in the 10th inning. Skye Bolt hit a sacrifice fly to right-center field and David MacKinnon reached home.
