Miami Ratings July 2022

The radio ratings were issued for sports radio stations in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. The time span went from the third week of June to the third week of July. The big surprise in the ratings was that there was a tie for second place between two of the local competitors.
AM 560 Sports WQAM-AM remained at a 0.5 in the period. WQAM has stuck with their local weekday schedule and weekend schedule of CBS Sports Radio Network.
Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM dropped from a 0.3 to a 0.2 in the month. It turned out that they tied a record of their ratings low for the past 17 years. WAXY did have a 0.2 back in July 2020. The addition of Inter Miami CF audio broadcasts back in April has not helped.
Fox Sports 940 WINZ-AM stayed at a 0.2 for the fourth consecutive month and tied with WAXY for second place in the market. The Marlins fell off the pace to contend for a National League playoff spot. The audience continued to tune in to syndicated Fox Sports Radio with shows hosted by Dan Patrick, Colin Cowherd and Joy Taylor. WINZ figured out that local sports programs were not necessary on the airwaves.
In the streaming procedure, WKIS-FM-HD2 with the WQAM stream went down from a 0.2 to a 0.1 for the period. WAXY streaming fell from the second straight month from a 0.1 to a 0.0. WQAM streaming did not exist and was at a 0.0 for the fourth consecutive period.
