inter Miami CF Pay Back Columbus Crew

Inter Miami CF returned from a three-game road trip and gained revenge with a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Crew at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday night. It ended a three-game losing streak for Inter Miami CF.
Both teams faced each other just 13 days ago in Ohio and Columbus won 3-1. Inter Miami CF is now two points behind the Columbus Crew for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.
In the first half, Inter Miami CF busted out to a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute. Gonzalo Higuain placed a one-time shot with his right foot from 15 yards away. The Columbus Crew evened it up 1-1 during the 41st minute on a goal by Cucho Hernandez.
The contest was delayed at halftime for over two hours due to a weather delay.  The game resumed at around 11:35 P.M. and Higuain scored again for Inter Miami CF during the 82nd minute for a 2-1 lead.
