Nationals Overcome Marlins

The Washington Nationals came back on the Miami Marlins 5-4 at Nationals Park on Friday night. It was the beginning of the Marlins short three-game road trip.
Miami(59-86) blasted out with four runs during the top of the second. The frame was capped by a Lewin Diaz two-run homer to right-center field on the first pitch.
Washington(50-94) evened it as they put up four runs in the bottom of the seventh. C.J. Abrams hit a two-run triple to tie the game 4-4. The Nationals got the go-ahead run in the eighth inning when a Ildemaro Vargas ground-rule double to left-center field scored Joey Meneses.
