Keith Yandle Retires

Former Florida Panthers defenseman Keith Yandle retired this morning. He finished off a 16-season career in the National Hockey League.
He currently holds the NHL ironman streak playing in 989 consecutive games. He broke the record held by Doug Jarvis back in January 25 and the streak ended on April 2. Phil Kessel is seven games behind Yandle for the consecutive games mark and is expected to pass it in October.
Yandle was acquired by the Florida Panthers from the New York Rangers on June 20, 2016. He helped the club make the postseason in 2019-20 and 2020-21. Yandle compiled 231 goals in 371 regular season contests with the Panthers over five seasons.
