Anaheim Ducks Part Ways With Dallas Eakins

     The Anaheim Ducks have not renewed the contract of head coach Dallas Eakins. He has been the head coach of the club since the 2019-20 season and had a 100-147-44 record. 
     He had a reign as a head coach with the Edmonton Oilers from 2013 to December 2014. He landed with the San Diego Gulls, the Anaheim Ducks AHL affiliate, and had a tenure there from 2015-16 until 2018-19. 
     Eakins played with the Florida Panthers in their first two NHL seasons of the franchise in1993-94 and 1994-95. He participated in just one contest during their inaugural season. Eakins played in 17 games during the shortened 1994-95 campaign and chalked up one assist. He returned to the Panthers in their final season at Miami Arena in 1997-98 and had one assist in 23 contests.
