Marlins Blank Twins

     Miami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara and the Fish shut out the Minnesota Twins 1-0 on Tuesday night at loanDepot park. Minnesota(4-1) was undefeated and finally lost their first contest this year.

     Alcantara made his second start of the 2023 campaign. He ended up pitching a complete game, three-hit shutout. It was his fourth career shutout and 10th career complete game. 

     Miami(2-4) scored first during the bottom of the second. Avisail Garcia picked up his first homer of the season as he belted a 2-2 pitch over the left-field fence.
