Udonis Haslem To Retire

     Miami Heat forward and captain Udonis Haslem will be retiring soon from the Miami Heat. A ceremony was held for him prior to the Heat regular season home finale against the Orlando Magic at Kaseya Center. 
     It is expected that Haslem's #40 jersey with be retired by the Miami Heat organization sometime in the near future. His former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade and actress Gabrielle Union were in attendance for the pregame ceremony. 
     Haslem played 20 seasons with the Miami Heat, which is the most seasons played in a Miami Heat uniform. He won three National Baseketball Association titles with the club in 2006, 2012 and 2013. Haslem was also part of six Eastern Conference championships with the franchise in 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2020. 
     He played in 879th game on Sunday and is the Miami Heat all-time rebound leader. Haslem is only behind Wade in that category in Miami Heat franchise history. He compiled 134 double-double while with the Heat. He entered the contest with 9:05 left in the first quarter. Haslem and Wade joined the Miami Heat for their rookie seasons at the start of the 2003-04 NBA season.
