Craig Anderson Retires

     Former Florida Panthers goalie Craig Anderson announced his retirement from the National Hockey League. He played his final game with the Sabres in Buffalo on Thursday night and picked up a 4-3 overtime victory over the Ottawa Senators. 
     He finished with 319 career wins, which is the fifth most among goalies born in the United States in NHL history. Anderson, a Broward County resident, played in 709 NHLcontests and had a 2.86 goals-against-average, .912 save percentage and 43 shutouts. He was awarded the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy in 2017. 
     Anderson was with the Florida Panthers from 2006-07 until 2008-09. He compiled a 24-14-7 with a 2.52 goals-against-average and a .928 save percentage in 53 games while in Florida.
