Heat Shift By Mavericks

     The Miami Heat outmuscled the Dallas Mavericks 123-118 in overtime at Kaseya Center on Sunday night. The Heat had a rare five days off during the regular season between games. 
     They ended up winning their second straight home contest. The Mavericks had their four-game winning streak snapped. 
     Miami(7-7) rolled out to a 33-28 advantage at the conclusion of the opening quarter. The Heat still held a five-point lead 56-51 at halftime. 
     Dallas(9-8) was down 89-84 at the end of the third quarter. It took the Mavericks four minutes into the fourth quarter to cut the lead and even it up 103-103. The game would eventually go into overtime. Miami outscored the Mavs 9-4 in the extra session. 
     Jimmy Butler fell short of a double-double with a game-high 33 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. Bam Adebayo completed a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds while Tyler Herro added 18 points and 10 rebounds. 
     Kyrie Irving led the Mavericks with a team-high 27 points and six assists. P.J. Washington delivered a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Klay Thompson was able to pour in 20 points in the loss.
