South Florida High Schools In Third Round

     There were 32 tri-county South Florida high schools that played in the second round of the 2024 FHSAA Football Playoffs. 15 teams advanced to the third round of the postseason. 
     Palm Beach County dropped from 10 teams to three. Only Atlantic, West Boca Raton and Cardinal Newman were victorious. A slew of squads lost that included Palm Beach Central, Boca Raton, Pahokee, Jupiter, Benjamin, The King's Academy and St. Andrew's. 
     Broward County fell from 12 high schools to five. St. Thomas Aquinas, Chaminade-Madonna, Amercian Heritage, Western and West Broward won. Cardinal Gibbons, Blanche Ely, Dillard, Monarch, Miramar, Piper and Archbishop McCarthy were defeated. 
     Dade County representatives went from 10 teams to seven. Booker T. Washington, Miami Norland, Miami Northwestern, Miami Edison, Columbus, Southridge and Immaculata-La Salle prevailed. Monsignor Pace, South Dade and Tru North Academy fell.
