Panthers Top Hurricanes Again

     The Florida Panthers swept the Carolina Hurricanes 6-0 at Amerant Bank Arena on Saturday. Both teams faced each other in Raleigh yesterday where the Panthers were victorious 6-3. The Panthers extended their winning streak to three games. 
     After a scoreless first period, Florida(15-9-1) broke out to a 1-0 advantage at the 6:42 mark of the second period. A loose puck came out to Aaron Ekblad on the right wing and he released a wrist shot by Spencer Martin for his first goal of the year. 
     The Panthers expanded it to 2-0 on a power-play goal with 0.8 seconds left in the second. Aleksander Barkov won a faceoff in the left circle and sent a cross-ice pass from the left wing. Matthew Tkachuk tapped a one-time pass from the right of the crease and Mackie Samoskevich swept in the puck from the left of the crease for his fifth goal this season. 
     Carolina(16-7-1) would surrender four more goals during the third period. The Cats would get tallies from Sam Bennett, Barkov(power-play goal), Adam Boqvist and Evan Rodrigues(power-play goal).
