Angels Downed By Marlins

The Los Angeles Angels lost to the Miami Marlins 6-2 on Saturday night at Angel Stadium. The Angels had their eight-game winning streak snapped. It concluded their longest win streak since 2014. The Marlins ended a three-game losing streak.
Miami(20-30) scored first in the top of the second and had a 3-1 lead after five innings. Connor Norby belted a three-run homer on a 1-2 pitch down the left-field line during the top of the seventh to give the Marlins a 6-1 lead. It was his third home run of the 2025 campaign.
Taylor Ward set a Los Angeles(25-26) Angels franchise record with his 10th straight game having an extra-base hit. He smacked a ground-rule double to left field in the bottom of the ninth.
