The Heat reached the NBA Playoffs for the 12th time in the last 15 seasons. It will be the 24th postseason appearance for the team in franchise history. Miami and Milwaukee will meet each other for the third time in four years.
Miami pulled out to a 29-21 lead at the end of the first quarter. They were able to stay in front 49-44 at halftime. Chicago kept in close range and had a slight 68-67 advantage after three quarters. The Bulls had a 10-3 spurt and led 81-75 with 8:27 to go in the fourth. The Heat answered back with a 21-10 run. It was capped by a Max Strus three-point shot from the right side with 1:14 left to make it 96- 91.
Strus and Jimmy Butler shared a game-high with 31 points each in the victory. Tyler Herro compiled 12 points, seven assists and eight rebounds. Bam Adebayo grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds and poured in eight points. DeMar DeRozan fell short of a double-double for the Bulls with a club-high 25 points and nine assists.
