Marlins Shut Out Phillies

     The Philadelphia Phillies were blanked by the Miami Marlins 1-0 at loanDepot park on Monday night. The Fish were victorious in their first series versus Philadelphia(57-51) since September 2023. 

     The Marlins have won two straight contests after losing 12 consecutive games. The Phillies have been defeated in eight of their past 11 contests. 

     Miami(54-54) took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Kyle Stowers belted a solo home run on a 1-1 pitch barely over the right-center field fence for his 14th homer of the season.
