Marlins Sweep Phillies

     The Miami Marlins outdistanced the Philadelphia Phillies 8-6 on Wednesday at loanDepot park. The Marlins concluded a six-game homestand with a three-game sweep of the Phillies. The Phils, who have lost nine of their last 12 games, had a six-run margin during the contest. 
     Philadelphia(57-52) scored two runs in the third, one run in the fourth and three runs in the fifth for a 6-0 lead. Park Vista High School grad Trea Turner had a solo home run at the beginning of the fifth inning for his 15th homer of the campaign. 
     Miami(55-54) started the comeback in the bottom of the fifth with three runs and trailed 6-3. The Fish added three runs in the seventh inning to even it up 6-6. They gained their first lead of the game in the bottom of the eighth when Griffin Conine connected with a pinch-hit, two-run homer to center field for a 8-6 lead.
