Former Florida Panthers Writer Wins NSSA Award

Michael Russo was announced as the winner of the Minnesota sportswriter of the year award by the National Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association on Monday. He is currently the Minnesota Wild beat reporter with the Star Tribune in Minneapolis. Russo was formerly with the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel as the Florida Panthers beat writer from 1998 until 2005.
