Bravos Blank Marlins

The Atlanta Braves got only four hits in the game, but that was enough as they shut out the Miami Marlins 3-0 at Turner Field on Wednesday night. Miami has lost six straight games and eight of their last nine.
Paul Maholm(13-10) pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings for Atlanta and allowed five hits. Josh Johnson fell to 8-14 fo the Fish as he gave up three runs on four hits in six innings.
Martin Prado was up second for the Braves in the first inning as he cracked a solo home run to left- center field on a 2-2 pitch for his tenth homer of the season.
Atlanta added another run in third inning. Jose Constanza began with a walk and then stole second. Prado followed with an RBI-single to right field as Constanza scored.
The Braves increased their lead to 3-0 during the sixth inning. Dan Uggla got to first on a fielding error by Gil Velazquez and advanced to third on a single to center field. Andrelton Simmons grounded out to third. With Maholm at-bat, Uggla shocked everyone by stealing home against his former team.
