Former Miami disc jockey Rickie Ricardo has been named Spanish radio play-by-play announcer and game analyst for the New York Yankees Radio Network on WADO-AM in New York City. He will be joined in the broadcast booth by Francisco Rivera.
Ricardo, whose real name is Rickie Santana, was once the morning host on WZTA-FM in Miami back in the mid 2000s. He became the Spanish radio voice for the Philadelphia Phillies from 2007 until 2013. He is also a weekend sports host on Sports Radio 94 WIP-FM in Philadelphia and the Spanish radio voice of the Philadelphia Eagles.
