Several players on the Florida Panthers were named to clubs for the upcoming 2016 World Cup of Hockey this summer. The eight-team tournament will be held in Canada.
Center Aleksander Barkov and left wing Jussi Jokinen were selected by Sweden while defenseman Dmitry Kulikov was chosen by Russia. Defenseman Aaron Ekblad was picked by the North America team that consists of players at 23 years old and younger.
