The Miami Dolphins announced that they are ending The Finsiders show on Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM on March 31. The program will also end their one-hour simulcast on Fox Sports Florida. The six-year deal in which Clear Channel Communications, now known as iHeartMedia, acquired the Miami Dolphins radio rights in February 2010 just recently finished up.
The Finsiders began in the middle of 2010 and was originally hosted by Jesse Agler. He held that spot until January 2014 when he became part of the San Diego Padres broadcasting crew. Greg Likens took over as the new host of the program in April 2014. Likens had previously worked at Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM as a morning sports anchor, morning sidekick, weekend host. reporter and producer.
Other people that contributed to the show included studio analysts Troy Stradford, John Congemi, O.J. McDuffie, Keith Sims, Kim Bokamper, Sam Madison and producer Jon Cope. All the studio analysts had prior local television or radio broadcasting experience prior to joining The Finsiders.
