Brendan Tobin recently added the title of morning co-host on 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM alongside Jonathan Zaslow and Brett Romberg. Amber Wilson has also been named as a new morning co-host. They replace Joy Taylor who left the station in February.
Tobin has been part of the morning show on The Ticket for many years as a sidekick, sports anchor, producer and board operator. He has hosted a weekend show there since the late 2000s. Tobin currently co-hosts a mixed martial arts Sunday morning show called Fighters Fury for over five years.
Wilson, a University of Florida and University of Miami grad, had previously worked at SNY in New York as the host of Beer Money from 2010 to 2011. She followed that as a studio co-host on the weekend show Sports Bang at WFOR-TV for several years with Steve Goldstein and Stugotz, a.k.a. Jon Weiner. She had been part of several sports organizations in South Florida which included CBS Sports Interactive from 2006 to 2008 and Open Sports with Sid Rosenberg from 2008 until 2009.
