ESPN 106.3 WUUB-FM announced on Tuesday that The Home Team with Josh Cohen and Ken LaVicka will move from middays to the late morning spot from 10 a.m. to noon starting April 5. The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz will be piped in on tape delay during middays from ESPN Radio.
Cohen has hosted The Home Team middays at ESPN 106.3 since January 2014. He began at that station as a weekend host from February 2013 until late September 2013. Cohen was promoted to the evening shift and held that spot through December 2013. He once hosted an afternoon show on WZZR-FM from September 1999 to late March 2012.
LaVicka, a Valparaiso Unbiversity grad, is currently the radio play-by-play announcer of Florida Atlantic University and has broadcast their football and basketball games since August 2011. He joined The Home Team in August 2015 as a sports anchor and sidekick as he replaced Joe Colella. LaVicka began in South Florida as a sports reporter at ESPN 760 WEFL-AM then added duties as a weekend host, sports anchor and high school football play-by-play announcer.
