Local sports reporter David Furones has left the Miami Herald and joined the South Florida Sun- Sentinel. He begins his new position at that newspaper this week.
Furones has been with the Miami Herald for several years and worked as a high school sports game writer and recruitment researcher. He is now part of the expanding high school sports staff at the Sun-Sentinel which hired Wells Dusenbury in late January from ESPN West Palm.com and ESPN Radio 106.3 WUUB-FM in West Palm Beach.
