The Miami Heat defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 108-99 at American Airlines Arena on Thursday night. It was the second time in the last ten days that both clubs faced each other in Miami. The Heat have won five of their last seven games.
Miami(35-31) had a 29-28 advantage after one quarter and were up 53-49 at halftime. Philadelphia(35-29) stormed back and took a 74-73 at the end of the third. The Heat bounced back with a 12-3 run and outscored the Sixers 35-25 in the final frame.
The Heat were led by Hassan Whiteside with a game-high 26 points along with eight rebounds. Dwyane Wade contributed 16 points and Josh Richardson powered in 13 points. Dario Saric fell short of a double-double for the 76ers with 20 points and nine rebounds. J.J. Redick dropped in 18 points while Joel Embiid put together 17 points and seven rebounds.
