Former South Florida sports host Sid Rosenberg has been promoted to morning co-host on WABC-AM in New York City. He has been the late morning co-host on that station with Bernard McGuirk since January 2016. The new show will begin on April 2.
They both replace the Imus In The Morning program hosted by Don Imus. Rosenberg added duties as a morning sports anchor on that show in November 2016 and replaced Warner Wolf.
Rosenberg made several stops in South Florida over a ten-year period. He joined Sports Talk 790 The Ticket in late 2005 as a fill-in host and later co-hosted middays with O.J. McDuffie. He was elevated to the morning host spot in 2007 and held that post until May 2009.
He moved on to Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM in August 2009 and became the midday host. Rosenberg was promoted to the afternoon shift in June 2010 and stayed there until April 2012.
His last stop prior to WABC was at 640 Sports WMEN-AM. He was the morning host on that station from August 2012 until December 2015.
Rosenberg began in broadcasting as a co-host with Scott Kaplan at CBS Sportsline in Fort Lauderdale during 1999 and 2000. The program moved to WNEW-FM in New York City and stayed on the air for one year. Rosenberg was the morning sports anchor on Imus In The Morning at WFAN-AM from 2000 until September 2005. He also co-hosted the midday shift on WFAN with Jody McDonald and later Joe Benigno from 2001 to September 2005. Rosenberg was the morning sports anchor at WINS-AM earlier this decade from December 2010 until January 2012.
