The Miami Heat pounded the Washington Wizards 129-102 on Saturday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat have won six of their last eight contests.
Miami(36-31) roared out in the first quarter with a 26-20 lead and were up 60-48 by halftime. Washington(38-29) was outscored 43-28 to begin the second half and trailed 103-76 after three quarters.
James Johnson had 18 points and Wayne Ellington got 17 points for the Heat. Kelly Olynyk contributed a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds while Tyler Johnson dropped in 15 points. Jodie Meeks led the Wizards with 23 points and Bradley Beal poured in 14 points.
