It became 3-1 for the Brewers in the fourth inning. Adrian Houser connected with a solo home run on a 1-0 count to right-center field.
In the fifth inning, Milwaukee extended their lead to a four-run gap. Avisail Garcia powered a two-run homer to left-center field on a 2-1 pitch.
The Marlins cut it to 5-2 in the bottom of the sixth. Adam Duvall drove in Corey Dickerson with a base hit into left field.
The Brewers scored again in the top of the eighth inning. Jacob Nottingham grounded into a double play and Manny Pina crossed the plate for a 6-2 lead.
