Marlins Outlast Diamondbacks

The Miami Marlins knocked off the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-3 on Tuesday night at loanDepot park. It was the Marlins first game in Miami(12-16) since their 10-game road trip.
The Marlins piled on three runs in the first inning. Brian Anderson smashed a three-run homer to right field on a 3-1 pitch. Corey Dickerson and Adam Duvall scored in front of him on the play.
Arizona(15-14) got one run in the top of the fifth. Josh Rojas cracked a solo home run to left field on a 1-0 count.
The Diamondbacks cut it to 3-2 in the sixth inning. Christian Walker scored on a fielder's choice by David Peralta when Isan Diaz made a throwing error.
It became a 3-3 ballgame in the top of the eighth. Eduardo Escobar drove in Tim Locastro on a single into left field.
The Marlins regained the lead in the bottom of the frame. Jesus Aguilar looped a base hit to shallow right-center to score Miguel Rojas and they led 4-3. Dickerson came up next and hit an infield single to first. Stephen Vogt committed a throwing error to third base for Aguilar to cross the plate.
Four batters later, Lewis Brinson connected with a three-run homer to right-center field on a 3-1 pitch with Dickerson and Anderson aboard. Rojas later knocked in Sandy Leon with a single to left field and capped the six-run inning for them.
