Brandon Montour Fastest Overtime Goal Ever

Former Florida Panthers defenseman Brandon Montour set an NHL record with the fastest overtime goal in history. It happened four seconds into overtime as the Seattle Kraken defeated the Montreal Canadiens 5-4 last night.
Goals have been scored four seconds into a regulation period previously. Claude Provost did it for Montreal versus the Boston Bruins during the second period in 1957. Denis Savard scored in the third period against the Hartford Whalers in 1986. It also happened for James van Riemsdyk with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second period when they took on the Philadelphia Flyers in 2014.
