Chargers Release Joey Bosa

The Los Angeles Chargers have released former St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders defensive lineman Joey Bosa. He was with the Chargers organization for nine seasons and had 72 sacks in 107 games.
He was drafted third overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. The club moved to Los Angeles following his rookie season. He was the last Chargers player on their roster that once participated in San Diego.
Bosa played high school football with St. Thomas Aquinas. He captured two FHSAA state titles in 2010 and 2012 along with a national high school football championship in 2010. Bosa went to Ohio State University and helped the Buckeyes win the first CFP national championship in 2014.
